I’m being optimistic and assuming that I will write more than one book. So far, Wilful Murder is in its first draft with a lot more editing to do. I’ve got a plan to write a sequel, currently with the working title Forgery and Deceit set in Penguin Creek – where I live.
After that I’d love to write a novel about my Nan, Joan and her early life before she got married. She lived in Melbourne during the war and this will be an interesting time period to explore.
It feels like decades ago when I wrote 50,000 words in a month for NaNoWriMo. One day I will look back at that manuscript and fashion it into something readable – probably for a young adult audience. It needs a lot of work and I have learnt a lot about writing and reading since then.
