My second novel is going to be about my Nan. She grew up in rural Victoria and moved to Melbourne when both her parents died.  Her father had shrapnel in his head from WWI and her mother died in child birth. Nan lived in a home for girls for a few years and worked at a store and on the telephone exchange during WWII, she played banjo mandolin for the prison and had a romance with a policeman. It will be based on the transcripts Nan audio recorded of the time when she was in her seventies, a few mysterious facts she dropped but largely kept hidden and some interesting plot additions from the background of WWII in Melbourne.
