I have an idea for another novel based on my Nan’s story.

She grew up in rural Victoria and moved to Melbourne when both her parents died when she was a young girl. Her father had shrapnel in his head from WWI and her mother died in child birth. Nan lived in a home for girls for a few years and worked at a store and on the telephone exchange during WWII, she played banjo mandolin for the prison and had a romance with a policeman.

The novel will be based on the transcripts that Nan audio recorded when she was in her seventies, a few mysterious facts she dropped but largely kept hidden during her lifetime and some interesting plot additions from the background of WWII in Melbourne and my time working for the Department of Defence.
